JAY-Z sent an ultra-rare bottle of D’Ussé to LeBron James.
As LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers’ search for a second consecutive championship is completed, you can bet the all-time great will be toasting with an ultra-rare bottle of D’Ussé Cognac given to him directly by JAY-Z.
Just a few days after it was disclosed that JAY-Z had signed a lucrative deal with LVMH for Armand de Brignac Champagne, it was announced that an ultra-rare bottle of D’Ussé 1969 Anniversaire, of which only 285 were made, would be auctioned. At the time of the auction, the diamond-shaped bottle was estimated to be worth between $25,000 and $75,000.
Although LeBron James didn’t get the same bottle with the 24-karat gold foil, he did get one of the ultra-rare bottles as a gift from JAY-Z, and he documented the unboxing on Instagram.
Before opening the special anniversary edition cognac, LeBron said, “I just got back to the crib, got a box from my brother Jay.” The cognac has been aged for more than thirty years, but D’Ussé did not specify when it was made. The year”1969″ is a reference to JAY-birth Z’s year. “Oh, my goodness! Oh my goodness, “When LeBron saw the beautiful bottle, he said, “Wow!”
Below is a recording of LeBron’s unboxing. What would you be willing to pay for a bottle like this?
