Lasmid list his top 3 musicians in Ghana; says he looking forward to working with Drake.

One of the fastest-rising Ghanaian musicians, Lasmid Owusu Nathaniel, better known in showbiz as Lasmid, has listed his top three musicians in Ghana.

Lasmid listed his city mate and highlife crooner Kofi Kinaata, Africa’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie, and reggae-dancehall monarch, Stonebwoy, as his top 3 Ghanaian artistes.

He already has a song with his city mate, Kofi Kinaata, and is eager to have collaborations with his other two inspirations if he gets the presents opportunity.

The youngster also expressed interest in having a musical collaboration with Canadian ace rapper, Drake.

“My biggest artistes in Ghana are Kofi , Kinaata Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.

“I already have a song with Kofi Kinaata and I’m looking forward to collaborating with Sarkodie and Stonebwoy as well. And I wish to have a track with Drake,” he said.

In an interview on the One-on-One Show, the Accra-based Ameyaw TV, a YouTube channel of Ghana’s popular lifestyle and entertainment blogger monitored by Modernghana News, he affirmed his enthusiasm for seeing his music trending number one on all music streaming platforms in the country.

The ‘Friday Night’ hitmaker also revealed that he has been looking forward to his music being popular like what he has now ever since he was signed to his current record label, Highly spiritual because he knew he has a different style.

“When I wake up every day and see myself on the musical throne, it feels very amazing.

“Yes, I was actually looking out for it and I knew that one day it was going to happen. My style is different from the others because I sing and also produce,” he noted.

Nigerian artiste manager and record label owner, Naira Marley, has shown interest in signing the 2019 MTN Hitmaker champion to his record label.

In response to a question on this, Lasmid said; “Something big is coming to me that has never happened to me. For a foreigner to reach out to you is very special.”
