Joy FM’s ‘Health & Wellness Series’ returns on December 12

About a fortnight ago, Joy FM announced its intentions of holding the second edition of its health initiative, the ‘Health & Wellness Series’. After intense preparations, the event is set to take place on Monday, December 12.

This edition is themed, ‘Festive Seasons and Risks to your Health’, a topic that is tailored to address various issues surrounding food, nutrition, human metabolism, children and the psyche of humans, during this yuletide.

The live radio program will assemble three experienced speakers to educate cherished listeners and the general public, debunk myths, and answer health-related questions. On the list of its speakers is resident doctor on ‘Drive Time on Joy’, Dr. Yaw Osafo, a specialist in Clinical Biochemistry & Metabolic Medicine.

Dr. Joyce Adutwum, a specialist in Child Health, and Nortey Dua a Clinical Psychologist and Host of Ultimate Health on Joy FM, will join ‘drive doctor’ Yaw Osafo on December 12, to ensure the success of the ‘Health & Wellness Series’. All three speakers have defended the essence for holding such a timely program.

According to Dr. Yaw Osafo, “seemingly innocuous or fun activities can potentially affect your health”. His colleague Dr. Adutwum also revealed that, “children are God’s heartbeat and precious to a parent than anything else”, while Nortey Dua insisted, “don’t complicate Christmas. Keep it simple and sweet. Mental health is the ultimate health”.

The program will be hosted by seasoned broadcaster and host of Drive Time on Joy, Lexis Bill, live on Joy 99.7 FM, and will be streamed live on Facebook, on Monday December 12, at 7pm.

Joy FM, through the Health and Wellness initiative will continue create the awareness of maintaining the culture of periodic professional medical consultation, as well as sustain the platform for interaction between health care professionals and patrons.
