Black Stars coach Otto Addo named his starting line up for the pre-World Cup friendly against Switzerland, giving first starts to Daniel Barnieh and Salis Abdul Samed, while starting Lawrence Ati Zigi in goal.
The Hearts of Oak forward has a chance to justify his inclusion in the 26-man World Cup squad, as does Ati Zigi, who is expected to be the starting goalkeeper in Qatar in the absence of injured duo Jojo Wollacott and Richard Ofori.
Salis Abdul Samed, a midfielder for RC Lens who has impressed in the French Ligue 1 this season, will also make his debut. Despite not having previously represented the Black Stars, Samed was named to the final squad. His selection is primarily based on his current form in France, where he is well-regarded as one of the best midfielders.
